Ginja, the Portuguese sour cherry liqueur, is one of the country’s most traditional drinks, from Óbidos to Lisbon. Ours is made with fresh ginja cherries from the Oeste region: an intense taste of wild fruit, with a unique yet smooth character. With or without the cherries? The choice is yours. In 100 ml to taste, 200 ml to share and 700 ml for the table or as a gift.

Where it comes from

From the Oeste region, where the ginja cherries grow that made Óbidos and Alcobaça famous.

Tasting notes

Ripe red fruit, a ruby colour and a smooth finish.

How to serve

In a small glass or in a chocolate cup, the Óbidos way.

To taste, to share, for the table.

The same recipe in every bottle. Choose the size that suits the moment.

Óbidos and the Oeste

Óbidos and the Oeste

Ginja is the drink of Portugal’s Oeste region, from Óbidos to Alcobaça. In Óbidos, find us at Pastelaria D. Afonso, next to Santa Maria church.

What our customers say

How to drink a B.LÊM

  1. Well chilled

Keep the bottle in the fridge and serve it cold. Creams gain texture, ginja gains freshness.

  2. In a small glass

A small glass or a chocolate cup. A little, full of flavour, as tradition has it.

  3. At the end of the meal

With coffee, with dessert or on its own, in good company. That is how a Portuguese meal ends.
